Understanding the product
How it works, step by step
In four steps: you upload a photo, we design the 3D model, you approve the preview, then you receive the kit and build it. You pay only after approving the preview.
Does the statue really look like the person in the photo?
Yes. We rebuild the facial features in 3D (eyes, nose, mouth, proportions) and pick the closest colors from over 230 brick types. You see the preview before paying: if it's not right, upload another photo and generate a new one, until you're satisfied.
What's in the kit?
The kit includes LEGO®-compatible bricks, step-by-step instructions and a presentation box. You need nothing else to build it.
Do I already need LEGO® bricks?
No. You get a complete kit — nothing else required.
Are the bricks original LEGO®?
We use LEGO®-compatible bricks: precise, durable, with the same "click" you know. LaterEgo is not affiliated with LEGO®; "compatible" means you can combine them with the bricks you already own.
Photo, preview and payment
What photo should I send?
A front-facing photo of the face — clearly visible, in focus, with a neutral background — up to 20MB. We take care of lighting, framing and cutout. The sharper and cleaner the photo, the better the result.
Can I customize the statue or the model?
The model is built from your photo: we rebuild the facial features in 3D and match the closest colors. The preview can't be edited by hand — if you want a different result, upload another photo and generate a new one, free, until you're satisfied.
How long does the preview (render) take?
The preview is ready in about 15 minutes from when processing starts, and opens right in the configurator. You can leave your email to get a notification when it's ready, so you don't have to wait on the page.
How does "pay only if you're satisfied" work?
You create the project and get the preview for free. If it's not right, you can try another photo at no cost. You pay only when you confirm the order — before that, there's no charge.
How much does it cost?
The personalized statue costs €119, everything included: the 3D model built on the facial features, the complete kit (LEGO®-compatible bricks, step-by-step instructions and box) and tracked shipping. Creating the preview is free, with no hidden costs.
Kit, size and assembly
How big is the statue?
About 20–24 cm tall (roughly 2,000 bricks): a size made to sit nicely on a desk, shelf or bookcase. For a larger format, we make custom sculptures up to 70 cm — write to info@laterego.it.
How hard is it to assemble and how long does it take?
It's designed to be built without any experience, following step-by-step instructions (also via QR code). Assembly takes about 4–6 hours and is enjoyable to do at your own pace, even as a family.
Shipping, returns and special requests
How much is shipping?
Nothing: tracked shipping is included in the €119 price. There are no extra costs at checkout. As soon as your parcel ships, you get an email with tracking to follow it to your door.
Do you ship abroad?
We ship within Italy and across the EU, with tracking and order-status updates.
Can I return it?
As it's a personalized product, returns follow our Refund Policy.
How can I contact support?

Is it a good gift?
Yes. It arrives in a curated box and it's a different kind of gift: One-of-a-kind, you build it together, then display it. You can give both the object and the experience of building it.
